MySpace Interview – Doctor of Tekno

by c64Glen on Oct 7, 2009 in Music, MySpace Interview

So, who are you anyway?

I am Doctor of Tekno (formerly known as And-droid)

So, who are you anyway?

I’d say my sound was like the old skool techno rave sound of the late 80s but with a modern twist

So you rate yourself then?

Not really, have only been making music since 2005 so still have a lot to learn yet

Who are your influences?

my main influences are the artists from above mentioned era for example Moby, Josh Wink, Joey Beltram and the record label R&S Records, I used to DJ these type of trax back in 1988 (I was never really a great DJ though lol)

Tell us one of your musical secrets.

Its not really a secret but I make tribute slideshows on youtube for music artists who are no longer with us ie Elvis,Karen Carpenter,Johnny Cash, 2Pac etc

What’s in the future?

I see myself musically just plodding on, I have made a track for a German film “Rote Ameisen” (English title “Red Ant”, which is still in post production)so would be open to offers from other film makers

What’s your claim to fame?

I have worked with and made a track with Scottish 80s analogue legends Endgames

Musically, where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

probably still be where I am now, the industry is one of the toughest to get into even with music that is as different as mine, but would love to be touring and selling lots of my tracks to movies, TV adverts etc

Myspace or Facebook?

Myspace mainly for music promotion, but also have a Facebook page for my music and a fan group just started up,

Facebook is b@@@@@ks for music promotion unless you want to give them a photo of your passport, driving licence etc. and there is no way Im doing that

So, who are you anyway? Unkle Funkle, savour of the galaxy. Through the mighty weapon of da Funk I am taking over this planet – dance-step by dance-step. Describe your sound for us. I implanted the DNA of the original late 60′s and 70′s funkateers into my hips. That combined with my love for soul [...]
