Turn's out I've put the weight back on today. I knew I shouldn't have had that pizza last night. I blame the wife, she ordered it while I was out.

You should be ok, what makes it more bearable is definitely the increase in rest-times. I did week 2 day 1 yesterday and noticed a marked improvement straight away (maxed at 20 in my final set after starting at 14 on my initial test).

When you look further ahead however, week 2-3 and 4-5 are really scary transitions (granted that you do get retests so it naturally re-calibrates you). But going from ~10 pushups to 100 in just 6-weeks is gonna require some pretty hasty improvements.
